United States spot XRP exchange-traded funds concluded another week in positive territory, but underlying institutional demand remained heavily muted as daily trading activity ground to a halt across most sessions. Data covering the latest five-day trading period revealed net inflows of $2.25 million into spot XRP ETFs. While this figure surpassed the $1.01 million recorded in the prior week, it remains a fraction of the capital inflows observed earlier in the year.

The modest weekly positive tally masked a pronounced absence of consistent daily fund movements. According to tracking data from SoSoValue, four of the five trading days during the week registered $0.00 in reportable flow activity. The full $2.25 million sum recorded for the entire period entered the market on Thursday alone, leaving the remaining sessions with no net changes.

This lack of activity highlights a persistent trend characterizing recent fund performance. Throughout August, six of the ten trading sessions have generated zero net flows. Consequently, cumulative total net inflows into spot XRP products have stalled at just over $1.51 billion, reflecting negligible expansion over recent weeks. By comparison, spot XRP ETFs were attracting over $20 million on a weekly basis during late June and recorded more than $60 million in weekly inflows during mid-May.

Institutional Disclosures vs. Token Price Slump

While daily inflow figures remained subdued, institutional disclosures brought some positive headlines, as several major United States financial institutions, including Morgan Stanley, revealed substantial exposure to XRP through spot ETF shares over the past week. However, these institutional disclosures failed to prevent a steep decline in the underlying token's market price.

Despite reports of accumulation by Ripple whales, the native token has traded steadily lower in recent weeks. XRP was rejected at the $1.10 resistance level before breaking down through its $1.05 support zone. The downward movement pushed the cryptocurrency below $1.00 on multiple occasions within just a few days, marking the first time XRP has traded below this threshold in nearly two years. The asset is currently struggling to regain and maintain the $1.00 price mark.

On-Chain Metrics Present Contradictory Outlook

Technical and on-chain indicators present a mixed landscape for the cryptocurrency moving forward. Recent data indicates that network activity on the XRP blockchain has experienced an uptick. Conversely, overall market sentiment among investors has deteriorated to a multi-month low. At the same time, XRP Open Interest has surged to its highest levels since a major market crash in October 2025, a setup that could spark intense price volatility across upcoming trading sessions.
