Astar’s Contribution Score (ACS) campaign ends after 100 days, enhancing ASTR’s utility and setting a foundation for Soneium’s modular ecosystem.
The Astar Contribution Score (ACS) campaign has officially concluded, marking a significant milestone in the blockchain ecosystem’s evolution, according to astar.network. Over the past 100 days, ACS has played a crucial role in incentivizing onchain contributions, thereby enhancing the utility of Astar’s native token, ASTR, and laying the groundwork for a modular ecosystem architecture within Soneium.
A Campaign of Impact
Launched on February 20, 2025, the ACS campaign was designed to foster meaningful engagement across the Soneium platform. By allocating 100 million ASTR to contributors over ten seasons, the initiative successfully aligned network incentives, driving significant growth in activity and project-level engagement. Key metrics include a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $226.48 million, 3.57 million unique wallet addresses, and 147.41 million total transactions.
Ecosystem Flywheel Powered by ASTR and Soneium
The ACS campaign’s success was rooted in its integration with ASTR’s real-world utility within Soneium. The campaign enabled a self-reinforcing cycle of growth by being deeply integrated across protocols, incentives, staking, gas, and governance. This synergy facilitated organic network expansion, creating value for both builders and users.
Midway Ignition: New Projects, New Flows
Midway through the campaign, the introduction of new protocols and tokens expanded the contribution surface, enhancing the ecosystem’s dynamism. This infusion of new assets not only increased activity but also demonstrated ACS’s ability to scale and adapt in real time to ecosystem developments.
Project Highlights: Unlocking New Directions
Several standout projects emerged during the ACS campaign, leveraging its framework to achieve remarkable growth. Kyo Finance, for instance, drove sustainable yield strategies with over $55 million in TVL and 26 million transactions. Evermoon integrated gaming and AI, attracting over 316,000 unique wallets. Untitled Bank reimagined DeFi UX, achieving a 1,377% TVL growth, while Yoki Legacy rejuvenated the charm of collecting Yokis, engaging 37,000+ unique wallets daily.
The New Role of ASTR in Soneium
Beyond immediate rewards, ACS clarified ASTR’s role as a primary asset within the Soneium ecosystem. The campaign showcased ASTR’s utility across various sectors, including DeFi, NFTs, gaming, and infrastructure tools, establishing it as an essential component of the ecosystem’s identity.
What’s Next
Though the campaign has concluded, its effects continue to resonate. The ACS reward claim page will be live from June 10 for one month, allowing contributors to claim their ASTR. Additionally, an ACS OG Badge will be airdropped to contributors with scores above 1,000, serving as a permanent onchain record of their impact.
The ACS campaign has demonstrated the power of aligned incentives, providing a blueprint for future modular ecosystem designs. As Astar and Soneium move forward, the contributions made during this campaign will continue to shape their development.
